A Warm Bowl of Creamy Garlic Pasta

When you want something comforting without spending hours in the kitchen, creamy garlic pasta is a wonderful option.

The dish begins with one of the simplest combinations in cooking: pasta, butter, garlic, and cheese. Together, they create a rich and comforting sauce that can be prepared in a relatively short time.

Start by boiling your preferred pasta according to the package instructions. Spaghetti, fettuccine, penne, and linguine all work well.

While the pasta cooks, melt butter in a large pan over low to medium heat. Add finely chopped garlic and cook gently until fragrant. Be careful not to let the garlic become too dark because burnt garlic can make the sauce bitter.

Add a little cream and stir slowly. Once the mixture begins to warm, add grated Parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese melts into the sauce.

Season with black pepper and a small amount of salt if needed. If the sauce becomes too thick, add a little of the water used to cook the pasta. The starchy water can help create a smoother sauce that coats the noodles nicely.

Drain the pasta and add it directly to the pan. Toss everything together until the noodles are covered with the creamy sauce.

For a more substantial meal, add grilled chicken, mushrooms, shrimp, spinach, or crispy bacon. You can also sprinkle chopped parsley over the top before serving.

The result is a warm, creamy bowl of pasta that feels special without requiring complicated cooking techniques.

Sometimes, after a long day, a simple bowl of pasta is exactly what the evening needs.
